Requirements for the position include: (1) a Ph.D. in Translation Studies and/or Interpreting
Studies or a closely related discipline; (2) an active research agenda with publications in Translation Studies and/or Interpreting Studies and potential for external funding; (3) the ability to teach translation and/or interpreting practice courses in two or more of the following language pairs: English-French, English-Japanese, English-Spanish; (4) the ability to teach non-language specific courses in one or more of the following areas: translation and/or interpreting theory and history, translation and/or interpreting technologies, translation/interpreting and language learning, localization, translation project management, translation as it relates to linguistics and/or literature; (5) the ability to teach upper level courses in their languages, such as language-for-specific-purposes (LSP), literature, culture, linguistics. Successful candidates will be expected to teach and develop graduate and undergraduate courses for online and face-to-face delivery.
