Nida School of Translation Studies 2013 - Bursary Announcement

Nida School of Translation Studies is pleased to announce collaborative bursary opportunities for NSTS 2013 with the British Centre for Literary Translation and the UMass Translation Center. Each of these collaborative partners has their respective parameters for qualified applicants as indicated below. Those interested should apply to NSTS through the normal channels; all qualified applications will be considered for this special bursary.

British Centre for Literary Translation

The aim is to support literary translation researchers within the UK who would benefit from attending this intensive, global research symposium. The bursary is available to qualified applicants affiliated with a UK university at theadvanced PhD candidate, post-doctoral or faculty level, based on financial need. 

UMass Translation Center

The aim is to support translation researchers who would benefit from attending this intensive, global research symposium. The bursary is available to qualified applicants affiliated with UMass Amherst at the advanced PhD candidate, post-doctoral or research level, based on financial need.

The co-directors of the Nida School of Translation Studies, Stefano Arduini and Philip H. Towner, are pleased to announce the 2013 NSTS Nida Professors: Sherry Simon and Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak. The theme of the 2013 session is Translation, Gender, and Culture; the dates are May 20-31.
