This event launches a new collaborative volume, The Palgrave Handbook of Languages and Conflict, edited by Michael Kelly, Hilary Footitt and Myriam Salama-Carr (Palgrave Macmillan, 2019). With some two dozen contributors, the volume maps out the emerging disciplinary area of languages and conflict. The launch will involve short presentations by the editors and some of the contributors, with opportunities for those attending to ask questions and make comments. It will be accompanied by a drinks reception.
