The Center for Translation Studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign invites applications for a full-time, 9-month renewable Lecturer position for the academic year 2019-2020, with a target start date of August 16, 2019. Renewal of the position is contingent on funding and strong performance reviews by the Center for Translation Studies. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Primary responsibility is to teach M.A.-level courses in terminology and CAT tools and other courses offered by the Center for Translation Studies, according to need. A Ph.D. in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field is required at the time of appointment. Professional-level competence in English and at least one other language are required. In addition, the successful candidate will show documented excellence in teaching. Industry experience as a terminologist or in terminology management is desirable. Preference will be given to candidates with the ability to work in more than one language pair.
