The School of Modern Languages wishes to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Chinese Translation to further enhance its reputation as a leading centre for Chinese Translation and Interpreting. The post is offered on either a Teaching and Scholarship, or Teaching and Research career pathway.

You will have the skills required to train Chinese-English and English-Chinese translators to professional level. They will be expected to deliver research-led or professionally informed teaching on Translation programmes in the School at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels; contribute to curriculum development and teaching innovation; supervise MA dissertations and projects and actively contribute to PhD supervision; undertake administrative, pastoral and recruitment roles within the School; and undertake research or scholarship in the field of Chinese Translation Studies.

Candidates for appointment at Senior Lecturer level should demonstrate significant achievement in research/scholarship, teaching, and leadership in an HE environment.
